out with the old , in with the new
I decided to take the plunge and purchased a decent ultrasonic cleaner ...I have a small cheapo one from harbor freight that is lucky to hold a wrist watch in size .. trying to scrub changer components and other small parts with a toothbrush and harsh chemicals in a old baking pan and making a mess ...is over. the prices on these are dropping so I got a 6L model or around 1.5 gallon tank, we tried it out on my wife's extensive jewelry collection ( some she never wears) but that is another story... anyway the seemingly clean jewelry turned the small amount of dawn and water we used dark grey ... these things work great , I can't wait to try it out on the next project...in the pic of the cleaner you can see the small cheapo one on the bottom shelf

I have a half dozen old fans I want to take apart and repaint. A device like that would work nice on the smaller parts. I've never worked with one of those cleaners, so I look forward to following some of your projects when you use it.

I have often wondered just how good they actually are. I have some clocks that need that kind of cleaning and of course all of the VM record changers.
