Mono Westinghouse & Motorola

Picked up a couple of late 50's mono sets.

Keeping them both...the Motorola gives me a 58, 59, 60 and a 64.

Wow, another blonde find, good job, and both are keepers. I am familiar with the Motorola, that model sounds great. Like Chris, I can't wait to see the backs off of both of them especially the Westinghouse.

Nice! Big PT's on both and the OPT on the Motorola is impressive too. Westinghouse was going for power using 6L6's. The Westinghouse even uses separate components like the Motorola.

They're both restored. Dave G helped do the final checks and with some resistor work. Monster sound. Is there a anywhere to upload videos?

To be honest, I don't know.

I know Chris posts to YouTube, then links the video. I don't know enough about such things to advise you how to try. Chris might be the man to advise you better than I can. I know we can't post PDF files on the forum, other than in Downloads. I don't know if you could cut and paste a video on the forum or not.

The Westinghouse has some impressive iron. I'm surprised that Westy used such exotic livery in a record player. P-P 6L6's are good for 40 watts or so, aren't they?

The 6L6 outputs are usually at around 20 watts.

And yeah, I upload videos to my YouTube channel (doesn't that sound impressive, "my channel"?). I usually have to climb the earning curve each time because I forget how I did it last time but it's less daunting each time. YouTube takes you through a bunch of steps. Check "not for children" on anything you are uploading of an ordinary nature. They review your upload to see if you've got copyrighted music playing for more than a snippet. Some of it is allowed by the holder; some isn't. They'll tell you. Make sure you check "public" as opposed to "private." I blew it on my last try, and figuring out how to make it "public" again took longer than uploading.

Once it's uploaded and published and public, they'll give you the URL link and you can share that with us.
