Dayton Audio B652 Bookshelf speakers

Post: # 16647Post electra225 »

I need a set of speakers for my den, don't want to pay a lot because the SX-1050 will eat them alive. I think these will do fine if I don't get carried away. How about it, o wise ones?

They look good to me, but don't forget the monster cable to carry all of that power from amp to speaker. ;)

And the cables must have Gold plated plugs !!
I'd prefer platinum. [ : )

Greg,
Those speakers have a good warranty, too.
So, they look like a good try out.

Thanks, both of you. I believe this is how I'll go. They want crazy money for tower speakers.

Fed Ex brought these speakers this morning. These babies are fantastic! I can't believe the bass they get out of 6 1/2" speakers. They are rated for 45 watts, so I need to be careful with the volume and bass on the SX-1050, but I am impressed. Very well satisfied and I recommend them if you want something that is not huge. If you want more boom, you need to use music amp speakers. The wife approves these as being appropriate for her "decor", not that it matters in my "laboratory". You can't go wrong for the price........ ;)

BTW, we got these thru Amazon Prime. We have friends who have a subscription to Prime and got these with no shipping charge. You know how I hate to pay shipping..... ;)  The price was the same as Parts Express.

No, they came from Amazon via Amazon. Apparently, Amazon handles the same brand. The wife got to talking to her friend and mentioned I wanted some speakers for my music. They got their heads together and found Amazon had the same brand, identical item, identical price, with no charge for shipping. Sold!. I'm not a fan of Amazon, but I'm even less a fan of paying shipping. Win, win.....
