Slab head set screw ?

Post: # 13870Post Hi-Fi-Mogul »

In the manual for the Zenith Stroboscope changer, it says
that:
"To dismantle many components of this changer, a
slab head set screw wrench is required."

There is no specific description in the parts list
that says slab head set screw.

I could not find anything from an internet search,
to tell me what a slab head set screw is.

Does anyone have experience with this type of screw
and what they look like ?

Thanks !

I Googled "slab head set screw". This was the first thing that came up. I don't know if this helps or not. I'll try McMasters-Carr next.

If McMaster-Carr doesn't have it, you don't need it..... ;) ;)

Hope some of this helps. I've never heard of a slab head screw. Good luck... :D :D

Are there any odd fasteners visible on/in the changer? It may be an old reference for a renamed current fastener.

I have to remove the plastic faceplate of the changer,
to see what's there.

I had the same thought that these screws could not
be too unusual in design.

When I get to the changer, I'll report back.

I'm starting the amp checkout this week.
