J.C. Penney Penncrest 1960's SS Little Player

I got around the last few days to unboxing this little
1967 solid state mono record player.
It's missing its top, but it has the BSR mini-changer,
a 2 control SS little amp, and a 3 x 5 speaker.

It's light avocado green (sign of those times !), and
now all cleaned up with a new stylus.
The cart is in great shape, and this girl puts
out some good sound through that little speaker.

I'd say the sound is as good as the General Electric
player of very similar design that I've had recently.
The plus is in the BSR changer. They are relatively
easy to clean, and the original idler wheels overall seem
to perform fine, after 50 years.

Oh yes, olive green in 1967! I have a cool 1967 sailboat, a Cal 20, a superb design from Bill Lapworth, a famous naval architect. The design had two colored stripes: a sheer stripe (where the hull joins the deck) and a boottop stripe (along the waterline). Some were blue, a good nautical color. Many, like mine, where a fashionable olive green. Let's try a photo.
