The natural bakelite cabinet model. they also came in a white woodgrain, dark woodgrain and a Chinese lacqureware applique finish in black or cinnibar. A nice entry level radio given a moderne treatment. I had to sand about an 8th of an inch off the dials surfaces to get through the hazed layers. It's a nice little performer.

I wondered if you still had that radio. I like the way RCA lit the dial on that radio. The red on the tip of the pointer lights up. That is one of those cabinets that getting the chassis out of can be a challenge. Not bad once you get the hang of it.

Is it an AA5 chassis? I think I've got one out in storage, but much less good looking. Does yours have a curved back?

I keep a file card box with all my radios in it but it is at home and I am not.

It's an AA5. It has a curved and slanted back. They can get pretty bad looking in some cases. I have one in the attic in unrestored shape. I've always liked the edge lit acrylic dials, signs and such.

I had two of the 75X11's. Both of mine had tapped output transformers with one side open. All i did was to jump across the open part, seemed to work fine. The antennas were tapped as well, and one of them was open. I jumped across it as well. I never did figure out the benefit to the tapped output transformer. Both of mine worked fine after that.

It has 1 antenna tap for an external antenna. I used a non polarized plug on it and it has a bit more noise plugged in one way as opposed to the other. On one of the two units I did, one has a multi section electrolytic from Antique Radio Supply. Maybe the output transformer tap was to accommodate whatever speaker that would be used.

The primary was tapped. I'm assuming some type of hum-bucking setup. The antenna was open to the AVC line. That condition would make the radio reception very weak. The open primary tap in the output transformer gave a dead radio, no output.
