My wife has a little cheap Hamilton-Beach hand mixer. She gave a dollar for it at an auction. Nothing special about it. Probably cost less than $20 at Walmart brand new. She likes it because she can maneuver it and it's light. The beaters started rusting. We looked all over for a mixer similar, but they were either too heavy or way too expensive. On a lark, I Googled the model number and, to my great surprise, a company came up that had the beaters, brand new, for my wife's $1 mixer. They cost $18.77 with shipping. Almost 20 times what the mixer was worth, but she is thrilled to have her mixer fixed. I can't believe you can actually find parts for something like this.

Much better to fix or replace parts than buy new imho.

Parts for many major appliances, washers, dryers, fridges, d/ws, of the last 30-40 years are still available for the larger makers: GE, Hotpoint, Frigidaire, Maytag, some others, and in many respects they are better appliances than new ones, as well.

"Replacement Parts.com" is where we got the beaters. Phone number is 855-343-0069. I thought their service was good, but their shipping is awful high. But, we also got the part and the mixer is back in the pink, the wife is thrilled, what more can one mortal man ask for?
