OK, for the unenlightened, more details please? Water-slide decals? Protective covering over them? Where do you buy the printable sheets?

Long ago I repaired a Zenith radio with one of those brass-finished steel rings for a tuning dial with the frequencies marked off on it. it was rusted beyond simple cleanup, so I spray-painted it gold, applied press-on numbers, and sprayed over that with clear finish. It worked well and looks good, but it was far less elegant than your job.

You can buy blank water slide decal paper at hobby lobby, in the model car dept , also the dullcoat spray to seal in the decals by Testor's paint... but that paper is only for ink-jet printers , if you have a laser jet then there is paper for those, but I could not find it locally so I got some from amazon... then find the font on your computer or the internet that best matches your particular job...I think I used "Segoe UI" font on windows. it was the best match for the "a" in the Magnavox word... every "a" today looks like a @ sign . here is the sheet printed out with all the words before cutting them out ...

Guess I am not done modifying... the R2R needs to be matched to the system , can only get decent room volume turning the master volume all the way up , I see the AUX input only has a 220K resistor in line according to the schematic , later sets use 100K and a bypass cap ...anything I plug into the Aux is low output... maybe the standards were different back in 64 ? The only thing I can figure is a impedance mismatch ....

Are you certain the electronics in the R2R are up to snuff? Do you have another line-level source you can try to see if the issue is in the console or in the R2R? I have never owned a solid state Magnavox, but I've not had issues feeding tape decks and CD changers into the tape input of a tube instrument.

User error!.... plugging in the RCA's into the magnavox aux jacks ,and some bad vision, I plugged the input and outputs backwards ... the letter stamping on the chassis did not help either... it's playing good
