Have any of you done business with Radio Daze lately? They have some things I'd like to have, but I've heard some disturbing things about their service lately. What say ye? ;)

Maybe try a small order and see what happens?

I recall an announcement that more reproduction parts and less electronic components would be available.

I bought many resistors when this closeout announcement was made. But the site appears to be unchanged from before.

The shipping costs are the obvious reason I like Radio Daze in NY versus AES in Arizona.

I've read some worrisome things on ARF. With the regularity I see them, it makes me a bit leery. If Sal Brisindi can answer queries when they are posted, I would think it shouldn't be a problem for Radio Daze's proprietor(s). After all, the business is riding on good communication.

The part I want is fairly expensive, a reproduction radio dial. Springing for the part is one thing, having a hassle getting the part or getting my money back is quite another. I can see wrong on both sides of this. Either being too chicken to "go for it" and not have the part, or giving them my money and having a hassle. I think I'll give them a call. I know that's old fashioned, but perhaps it will provide information I don't have now and at least ease my mind.
