This forum is a bit different from others in the fact that we discuss things other than console stereos. It seems many of us have interests other than stereos that we like to share. I want this forum to be a place we can all gather, share out projects and all feel comfortable and welcome. We DO tend to stray off-topic, and the moderators have been trying to keep that to a minimum. The tradition of our group makes this a difficult task, at times. We come up with interesting topics and it's real hard to shut them off because they are straying a bit. Since I am one of the biggest ducks in the puddle when it comes to straying off-topic, I can't make a big deal about it, lest I appear quite the hypocrite. I had a person email me the other day, stating that they have considered joining the forum, but that our content is not strictly about console stereos. This person is apparently NOT a car fan or really interested in anything outside of electronics. I replied that was are a community of enthusiasts with like interests, it is just that our interests include console stereos, but are not exclusive to them. I suppose that's a chance we'll have to take. I'd like to gain a few more members, but social media is our competition. I thank God for each and every one of you and hope we can continue meeting for a few moments and sharing out lives with each other. Let's also work together to stay on topic as much as we can. If we feel the urge to stray off-topic, start another topic and jump right in. I don't want to discourage you from anything you'd care to share.

Thanks for sharing your thoughts, Greg. One important thing about straying off topic is if you want to try and find that conversations it's hard to know where to look. Keeping the conversation within the correct board really helps to locate a topic.

Re: In case you haven't noticed......
I've noticed that a number of topic strays could have been a thread of it's own. That would make the subject easier to track down for future reference. Sometimes it might be better to mention that one was going to start a separate thread, give it's title and let the conversation continue there.
