Re: VM model ? anyone know
Elton, I have no idea what model it is, and I have looked at the available photos on Gary's site to see if I could find it. No luck, so it must be one of the models listed with not photo. The changer looks like the same changer I just finished that was in a 1969 Philco console if that helps. And it looks more Early American than MCM.
Don't forget this one, it's kind of close to you.

Good going, Elton! Where can you have fun anymore for $20? I hope you'll share the restoration with us.

I haven't failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.....Thomas Alva Edison

Elton, congrats on owning a VM console. 977 is one of the models on Gary's site that does not have a photo. As far as I know VM is the only manufacturer that had that feature. I have not seen it on any other brand. VM actually used that feature on a lot of their consoles in the early days. The one you picked up for me has that feature and so does another VM console that I have. I have 4 portable/table models with the same feature.
