Heathkit A9C amplifier
I got this thing given to me along with a Hallicrafters radio and a bunch of junk from an estate in Warrensburg, MO. I have never had it plugged in. It has a 6L6 that has gone to air. It is in okay shape, but nothing special. I probably should recap it before I plug it in. I have no idea whether this thing is worth messing with or not. The decal over the inputs has faded so I don't know which is which. This thing may be for sale. The three "little amplifiers", 2 each 12AU7 and one 12AX7 are Mullard tubes.

I've had one for years, an earlier iteration in a gray-painted chassis and before the "Daystrom" name appeared. Note the size of the transformers. Heath always made high-quality electronics.

The big potted Chicago xfmrs were typically Heathkit in the '50s. I believe the basic W4M amp may have used the same ones, the output tubes on those were 5881s, had a pair about 20 yrs ago, and one of these 9-Cs too, all nice amps. I'm pretty sure I have an original factory manual for a A9-C, or it may be for a A7, I can check when we get home from VT next week.. please send me a reminder!

I've got a photocopied or online-printed version of the schematic somewhere too if he doesn't find the full thing.
