Another spambot onslaught

Sometime early this morning we got slammed with almost 100 new members. These actually made it onto the forum and posted. Bill and Rex spent most of the day getting them off the forum, I spent a couple hours this evening getting them totally gone. Then, to top it all off, my cellphone went on the fritz and I was absolutely NO help. I finally got enough charge I could shut down registration to give us time to figure out what's going on. These were not Russian spambots. Mostly European, Germany, Austria, Australia, Italy, France, Netherlands, Norway, USA. At least these guys were nice and only posted once. I didn't see any porn this time. Mostly CBD and stuff like that. Soooooo....until further notice registration is shut down. I am in contact with the forum host to see if they have been hacked again. I ask for your indulgence and that you give Rex and Bill a big "Atta Boy" for all their hard work today. They were communicating on the Moderator's board and used three pages, which will show you how hard they worked together on this. We had a member give us a heads up as well, something we always appreciate, so thanks to him. We'll get thru this like we did the last time. From December 23 to about january 17, I got rid of an average of 250 spambots a day. Something similar this time most likely. I wanted you guys to know what was going on. Thank you for your participation and for your understanding.

When I logged in I believe yesterday I did see a couple of new threads in "Introductions" that really didn't make much sense, something about gummies. It didn't occur to me that they were attacks! How oblivious can one get? I see today that all has been cleaned up and looking fine. I will definitely try to be more aware of what's going on. Many, many thanks for Rex, Bill and Greg for keeping up with, and cleaning up from the attacks and keeping the forum going. I hope I didn't miss anyone that supports this forum.
