You'll Never Walk Alone

Post: # 30206Post 19&41 »

Hearing the organ pieces today made me think of how well this piece sounds on the organ. I remember when I was 6 my mother sang this song at a recital at the memorial colosseum in Marion Indiana. I wish to God I had a recording of it, I think of her whenever I hear it. I have to leave the room.

That is a beautiful song. We had a choir at school we called the Triple Trio. Nine kids, boys and girls, who sang remarkably well for high school kids. It was a big deal to be in Triple Trio. They got letter jackets like the ball boys did. There was girl named Dinah, now 79 years old, who sang like Kathy Lennon. This song was one of their signature songs. The Triple Trio sang for all kinds of special occasions, even outside of school activities. I tried out for TT, but wasn't selected.

Yes, when reminded of our departed parent by some little thing, we get very emotional.

It's a time for happy tears...

That is a beautiful song, and that guy has an incredible home installation. 3 manual 25 rank Wurlitzer in a house is a lot of organ. Thanks for sharing, Chris.
