This really surprised me, and if it was not 2000 miles away I would go after it. It is located in California and the price is reasonable for California. I also find the photos interesting and this unit, it being the 3rd generation, does not have the mono-block amps in it. Instead it has the VM PP 6V6 amp which is excellent too. It also looks like it has a MPX adaptor for FM stereo. Previous photos that I have seen of the original VM 1000 showed EIA coded Jensen speakers and horn tweeters. And, the tuner/preamp was built by Harmon-Kardon. The second generation tuner/preamp was built by VM.

Hi Ken, it is good to see your post, we miss you. Yeah, the V-M 1000 is still on my wish list but I am cheap and in my old age not too willing to travel either so it will probably never happen. I do have several V-M's that sound really good, along with a Magnavox Imperial keep me happy.

Thanks Bill... It has been a busy past 6 years that has virtually prevented me from doing any of my hobbies.

Now that my girls are getting a little older perhaps I will find more time to indulge myself!
