Have you asked people on AK or ARF to scan a hi-res schematic for you? If that doesn't work, you may have to bite the bullet and buy one.

Of course, if you're dealing with a suspect part, look for the value marked on it. But a good schematic with a voltage chart is a huge blessing.

Going through old emails, I found this celebration f the SX-1250, a bigger brother of your device.

Have you tried looking here? The site wouldn't let me log in so I wasn't able to actually see what they had. They may have the same thing that AK has but it might be worth a try.

I did and I can't get anything. I am not a member of VinylEngine. The admin has suspended registration, apparently indefinitely, due to the spambot invasion. Given the size of their forum, I can only imagine how many spambots they get. I'm not sure shutting down registration is the answer, but I don't have all the facts and I don't admin that site. I know the spambots keep Bill and I busy on our little forum. They are relentless, plus now many are powered by AI. I'm going to have to find a hard copy that I can buy. Then I want to have the schematics of each board blown up so I can read it easily.

Updates? I downloaded the service manual for my old SX-626. It was my Dad's until it got feeble and we bought him a Scott. I'm hoping the Pioneer just needs recapping.

I thought I posted an update. I know I typed one, probably forgot to hit "send".

I found a schematic. I have it ready to take to Tres so he can blow it up for me. The main schematic, plus the individual schematics for each board.
