I saw an Olds Starfire, I think it was a '64, with these wheels on it. I got to thinking about maybe getting a set for the Buick. Genuine Buick road wheels are all old and beat up by now. Nobody repops them that I am aware of.
Lost of the used one have been in demolition derbies. I want to get rid of the hubcaps, nobody has the equipment or knowledge of how to deal with them in tire shops. These wheels are 5X5" with a 4" offset. I don't know what the offset is on stock Buick wheels. The wheels are $90 each and the trim rings and centers are $160 for a set of four. You can buy blank centers that don't say "Chevrolet" on them. I could have Tres make some decals with the Buick tri-shield for the centers. Would these wheels be "too far out" to run on a Buick Electra?

So wait... what's wrong with the stock wheels on your Buick? Those replacement ones are pretty plain-looking (definitely wrong for a Starfire!!!).

Re: Chevy Rallye wheels on a Buick?
What's wrong with them is that I want something different. If I had a 1962 Electra, they have the nicest wheel covers ever put onto a Buick wheel. The '63 version has never turned me on. I had a set of Buick road wheels on it for awhile, but decided to go back to the stock wheels. Wire wheels are $1250 a pop for a Buick so that option is out. The Chevy Rallye wheels looked nice on the Starfire. The car was yellow, and they had painted the wheels yellow with the chrome centers and trim rings. I know of a Chevelle that has them with no trim rings and with "Moonie" centers. The wheels I linked are already painted "argent" which is a Buick "must". If I could buy a new or a refurbished set of Buick Mark iV road wheels, that would be best. The Chevy wheels are 15X7's. Surely they wouldn't be too wide. The originals are 15X6. Michelin makes tires that would look nice on the Chevy wheels. They have a narrow whitewall, which I prefer.
