A guy gave me a stack of grimy unloved albums some
months ago.
I had seen this album by King Curtis, and remembered that King
worked with Buddy Holly on "Reminiscing".
So, after the album got a good washing, I am really digging this album from 1964.
A seminal year of change in popular music to me.
King exhibits his full range of talent here, wow.
The studio production musicians are also great.
This is a very good example of quality A&R production by Capitol Records.
I even wonder if "The Wrecking Crew" guys weren't in studio.

I knew him from "Memphis Soul Stew," a great radio single, and later from time to time from plays on the weekly blues show, which includes some R&B and gospel, etc.
