As a comment about the stereo you are looking for. I thought the Stereorama was a record player only. I don't recall seeing a Stereorama with a radio tuner. Good luck with your search.....
Thanks! What I am looking for includes AM FM Stereo in addition to the record player, like this...

Welcome, John, it is good to have you with us and thank you for completing your tasks so you can officially be part of your little forum. I will keep my eyes open and maybe sometime soon you can have a Magnavox Stereorama.

I just found this. Right up the road from me, actually, in Scottsdale. This would be a 1960 Symphony. The description is kinda nutty, but this would be a restorable unit. The record changer appears to have had a hard life and the decimal point is in the wrong spot.....

The vendor seems to have been carried away by his/its own rhetoric... must have had experience in the advertising industry. But yes, it looks to be easily restorable as long as the power transformer hasn't joined the great scrap pile in the sky. I notice the vendor doesn't include a description of its functional status.

I know this is not exactly what you were looking for, you want one with a tuner, but I thought I would share just so you know they are out there.

Thanks for this! On a related administrative note, I'd attempted to privately contact a potential seller but my message seems to be stuck in the outbox. Perhaps there is additional setup needed on my account that is blocking?

John, I need a bit more information on the issue you are having. If you sent a Private Message to another forum member, and that message is still in your outbox, it means the recipient of the message hasn't picked it up yet. The recipient would have to log on to the forum to see that he has a message from you. If I'm on the wrong track here, let me know. I'll help any way I can. I'm getting ready for the biggest car show of the year for me, and I think Bill is otherwise occupied today, but we'll get back with you as soon as we can.

That eBay listing for the Symphony totally reads like it was written by AI

Always be suspicious of muddy language. George Orwell said "The great enemy of clear language is insincerity. When there is a gap between one’s real and one’s declared aims, one turns as it were instinctively to long words and exhausted idioms, like a cuttlefish spurting out ink." He also said “Good prose is like a windowpane.”

Hi Electra,

Thanks for the info. The message remains in my outbox, so apparently he has not come on the forum and read it or seen it yet. I hope your car show was a success! Do you have any makes/models that you are fond of? I used to have a '68 Cadillac Coupe de Ville but was cash poor at the time and had to let it go. Hoping at some point to perhaps pick up an old car, but priorities won't let me do so just yet. 8-)
