Should have a 12 tube receiver and at 125W consumption probably SE. Interesting floor tile. Not a bad price for a tubed Capehart with GS-77 changer. "Original home, needs a good cleaning. Has not been plugged in to test."

I wonder if it was one of the things left from an estate sale. Console record players usually do not sell especially if they are not working and look bad.

Great question. I didn't notice the simulcast tuner until you asked. I like the simulcast tuner on my Philco so my local AM station stays put when adjusting FM.

There is a position that says "Am-Fm Stereo" and another one that says "FM MPX". AM stereo? Hmmmm......

AM-FM stereo was the short-lived system using AM for one channel, FM for the other.

Seems to me it was only for a year or two. Multiplex FM stereo came along pretty soon.
