I have a Zenith with the expanded stereo feature that is full of paper caps. It too is single ended but will probably never see restoration at the PT is fried and I have searched the internet and this far have not found a replacement. It is not as nice looking as yours so I'm not heartbroken over it.

When replacing caps, cut with longer leads of possible. There are people who want to buy old caps, and especially the bumblebee variety. Me, I've been saving the old ones from each resto. and storing them for historical purposes. but I have been tempted to sell some off....

The guitar guys like bumblebees apparently but I'm guessing that the people who want old paper/wax are going to restuff them.

I had a gallon bucket of old caps I had saved. A guy on ARF wanted some Zenith branded ones. I sent them to him for postage. I wasn't going to charge anybody for old, junk capacitors. The guy griped about some little detail, I don't even remember anymore. I sent the guy back his postage money and tossed the balance of the caps on the burn pile. Junk is junk, let the guitar guys waste somebody else's time.

Due to a glut of consoles and badly deteriorated cabinets, a Zenith parted out ends up supplying parts for other Zenith repairs, Ive got 2 chassis that may have a power transformer left.

What are the specs for the transformer?... secondaries , etc? I used a transformer from AES on my zenith , I think it had a 330-0-330 secondary with a 6.3 and a 5 volt winding

I need to look up the specs again, it's been too long since I last had it on the bench. I'm kind of iffy on whether I really want to restore this unit. The cabinet is in ok condition, but not a first choice to keep and trying to sell something in my small town is not easy especially if I do not want to lose any money.

Nice job, Brett! Where did you get those little doodads that are under the legs? Those look like they would be the berries for moving heavy consoles that don't have casters.

Thanks, those furniture casters are available from harbor freight, Home Depot, Amazon, etc.
