Arvin Console Stereo

Post: # 19264Post William »

I was looking at Craig's List today and came across this, and I also seem to remember a while back of one being posted, or maybe just talked about????

How far is this from you, Elton:

This looks to have been a TOTL for Admiral back in the day:

https://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/atq/ ... 23368.html

This is sharp and in excellent condition:

Oh my, look what someone did to a Magnavox stereo theater:

And then there is this, and I looked in electronics but did not see the listing:

Never heard of Arvin. The Admiral is admirable and HUGE. Really like the blonde zenith.

The mono RCA is probably a good performer, from the tube diagram. The Admiral is missing the tonearm headshell, looks like. The ex-Maggie is exactly what I was talking about when defending the guy with the Cadillac ambulance. He did not irreversibly damage it, lie somebody has done here. And the last Maggie, if the innards are there, the price is right--save t from the guitar amp crowd!

The stereo theater cabinet was an Astro-Sonic stereo and it may have had a roundy color TV in it. That TV being gone is the real shame. What is that cabinet good for other than to house a stereo and TV? That RCA is a gem for the money. ;)

Bill I found a set of Arvin Demonstration records and brought up the subject "have you ever seen an arvin console"? about 6 months ago...that might be what you are remembering?
