My goodness, Hydro, what a deal! A big Imperial, a gutted little Imperial and two extension speakers. At a more than reasonable price. You couldn't pass that up. I hope you can score this stuff. Good luck..... :D :D

Hello Greg, I don't know the difference between the big and little imperial. Is it the year or the style ?

The style is the difference. The big Imperial was in a 56" cabinet, the little Imperial in a 50". The big Imperial had bi-amps, usually the 81 series, the little Imperial had the 93 series. I have a little Imperial on my bucket list. The little Imperial was basically a Symphony with horns. They used the little Imperial cabinets on the mid-level Stereo Theater instruments. This made a more compact, but extremely crowded cabinet.

Unless you are like me and have a late production Symphony which has 12" woofers and horns. I always get the odd stuff. ;) :)

These late 50s Magnavox treasures are unheard of in the northeast it seems.

I'm lucky just to see the ones using the 93 series amp I suppose
