Trouble comes in "threes", right?

Trouble comes in "threes", right?

Post: # 17224Post electra225 »

First it was my Pioneer receiver that I had to retire, then the coffee grinder quit. Now I found one of the wife's outside decorator chickens that is in a hundred pieces. The landscaper must have broken it with his blower. So, now, I get to fix a chicken. Ain't life interesting at times? I'm not griping. Nobody got hurt and none of these little disasters is a big deal. Gives me something to do. "Out of the bars and off the streets" as the frau likes to say..... ;)

Is the grinder recoverable? Maybe a good old manual one would be something to do to restore it then use it. They don't seem to wear out.

We've got my grandmother's coffee grinder--Landers Frary & Clark, cast iron and ornately painted, likely early 20th century. And yes, still working. Let's see if I can attach the photo of a similar one.

That one looks like it will last for some time!

This is an electric one, not even a year old. A Cuisinart, I think it is.

The chicken is fixed. My normal "fixing" procedures wouldn't work. I had to use Super Glue to hold it together. ;)

Chickens of any sort seldom survive an encounter with a weedeater or leaf blower... :(
