The long-awaited "Literature" feature is now ready for you guys to use. It is below the schematics and service literature in Downloads, located, of course, at the top of the index page, under the header. Or, if on a mobile device, it's located in Quick Links at the extreme left of the navbar. Titled "The Literature Archive" it is for printed literature that is not service information. And it needs to be kept neat and searchable. I have asked Bill to ramrod the Literature feature, but there will be a learning curve, so we will all work together in the interim. No porn, no other banned material, per the rules of the forum. Any service literature posted in Literature will be deleted. Post that above in the appropriate category. Any inappropriate material posted will be deleted, along with whoever posted it. I need to be fairly insistent on this because I have seen inappropriate posting ruin an otherwise enjoyable feature. Post with BRAND/MANUFACTURER IN ALL CAPITAL LETTERS, nomenclature, year. Example: MAGNAVOX, model year catalog, 1958. These rules are posted above the category for your convenience. This material may not be indexed in alphabetical "ascending' order, so it's important to post accurately so the search function will work better. Notice also that when searching either Literature or Schematics, both features may appear in a search, since both are included in "Downloads" until we can come up with an independent feature that will work with the forum software. Enjoy!!
What is the little "light bulb" image to the immediate left of the title to this topic, you ask? That is a fun little feature we added to add interest and to draw attention to the topic. These images are located above the title box when you post. Use them like you would a smilie when you post.
I've been quite a while trying to get the permissions set like I want them. I think I have it set up so everybody can view Literature, but only members can upload or download files and make comments. If you have a problem, we'll work it out. Setting the permissions for Downloads is fairly time-consuming, but it's fun. I am going to more trouble than really necessary in the effort to keep these features organizes so we can all enjoy them.

I haven't failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work.....Thomas Alva Edison
