Hmmmmm,
That little Imperial posted above looks awfully familiar.
That might have been the model I passed up on some 12 years ago.
There was a Craigslist ad. I called the guy since the pictures weren't great. He said it was in "great condition".
I immediately leave after work for quite a drive. It took me to the next largest city in the state....in one of the worst neighborhoods. It was sitting outside this "thrift store". Notice the quotes? There were very few items in the store and inside smelled suspicious. Like musty mold, and lots of air fresheners to probably cover the smell of marijuana and whatever illegal drugs were most likely being sold out the back of said "storefront".
The cabinet was NOT great to say the least. I can't remember what he was asking, but to me was not worth it. I don't even know now if it was a tube or transistor model. I was NOT pleased at my wasted time for a "great condition" Maggie.
On the plus side, I did make it out of the corner of gang and ghetto without getting mugged or shot. So, hey, that's something.
There's my story. I forgot all about it till I saw the picture.
