There was some discussion about screen names under another post. I'm one who just uses my real name. There's a reason. It keeps me from saying really offensive, snarky, or inappropriate things. I was going to add "stupid" to that list, but nothing keeps me from being stupid from time to time. The point is that if my name is attached to it, the likelihood of veering way off track is reduced. The rest of you seem to have better self control. Bravo! I see very few comments on this site that are inappropriate.

Re: Screen names
I was a moderator on a board that had the name rule but didn't enforce it. Things got so out of hand that we did have to. The bullies hated us for it so it did its job!!!
We had one guy who would post from the same IP address with 4 or 5 accounts and actually argue with himself! He thought it was funny...

Re: Screen names
I prefer a screen name and I always try to address others online as I would want to be addressed. I've seen what can happen when a person says anything that comes to mind, good or bad, relying on the anonymity a screen name could provide. I try always to treat others as though they were the kind of people I would want them to be.
