I really like this little rig, even if it is a Zenith. Wonder if a person could have the images on the motorboard silkscreened? How would you restore it otherwise? I need to see if silkscreening can be done on Tolex somehow. IT appears to need one of everything. I wonder what cartridge it has. Crystal?

Can't imagine why a t-shirt shop or something couldn't silk screen on tolex ... just thicker material is all...

Being Zenith, it might not be a one tube wonder so it might have a ceramic cartridge. It is kind of cute.

I'm seriously considering this thing. I'm not a fan of Zenith, but this thing wouldn't have SMD nor would it have a wonky power transformer, nor would it have miles of rubber wiring, so this might actually be repairable. Maybe somebody will post a schematic or maybe I can find it somewhere. It would be cool if it had a ceramic cartridge. If the speaker is larger than 4", it might sound decent. The cosmetics would be a challenge. Not only does it need new Tolex, it also needs to have the platter reflocked.

That's the competition for my little RCA suitcase--same mechanicals, same two knobs in same location, exact same tonearm. Betcha it's the same one-tube electronics. Gary Stork sold me a turnover cartridge for mine with enough output to drive the amp (stereo, paralleled).
