Re: Lisa Marie Presley died
I've always figured that the worst curse is to be the child of a really famous person.

I believe if you look back... Elvis's mother died unexpectedly of a heart problem ... then elvis went at 42 , I think a congenital heart problem was passed down ... Lisa lived the longest ...

But you'd expect her to have had competent medical care, given her financial resources. Usually it's those on limited incomes who see medical neglect. People who can afford good care get lots of diagnosis and early attention to issues, especially the familial ones.
Then again, my Dad had a theory that top politicians got bad care. Because they are prominent, the senior physicians feel obliged to take over, and they often have more administrative experience than recent medical updates. They displace the younger colleagues who have more current training. I read an interesting biography of FDR that said his blood pressure toward the end of his life was something like 264/xxx (can't recall the second datum). That's way over acceptable levels--more than 2x current upper limits. He was not treated for it because the senior physicians clung to the theory that high BP was beneficial for old folks because it pushed the blood through narrowed arteries. The young guys knew better but the old guys won out and FDR died of a stroke. He was 63, which from my position qualifies as middle aged.
Don't hide stuff from your doctors, folks.

Alcohol and drug abuse may have aggravated congenital heart ailments.
