A friend of mine has one of similar vintage in a slightly different two-door cabinet. His has the original changer, which was a Garrard RC-80 as I recall. Somebody valued the one in the ad enough to have a newer changer installed.

Fisher tuner from ~1953-55 period. Might be the same model from my late uncle that I gave Dave MM recently. These were good performers. Probably has a Model 70a (25W) or Model 50 (50W) mono amp. The Model 70-RT tuner I believe could have been made by Radio Craftsman, it looks very similar to the Admiral/RC one shown in the other thread, however that may have been coincidental as many tuners for the era looked sorta similar. If that's a Barzilay cabinet I'd be surprised, wonder if the TT drawer might have come out of one and re-used. Barzilay was mostly West Coast and usually did MCM or Mediterranian styles, very popular with the LA crowd. I had a Med. style Barzilay once that came from a deceased Dr's family in Newport VT, very long and heavy TOL cabinet work. I did some research on them once, Ira Barzilay started out in Hollywood as a stunt man and was in a few movies, and later on with age (and creaky joints and aches from too many stunts no doubt) he started his custom furniture for HiFi and stereo, it was shown in some Allied catalogs that I have, quite expensive. Mine was light oak and had huge arches on the 2 separate matching speakers, repeated on the main cabinet, in all almost 8 ft long...huge! The wife couldn't stand it (we were in VT & we had much more room and a modern house) so with the circa 1963 Citation I & II + Miracord + University 312 triaxial set it sold locally. No doubt the only console we had that was competitive with the 1961 Fisher President we had earlier.
