Last year, the "Christmas witch" fell apart. One of her wings had been gone for a long time. Her right arm was missing and still is. When her head fell off, the situation got serious. The wife bought a new angel for the tree this year and was going to toss the headless little angel. I couldn't abide seeing that happen.
I took the Christmas witch out to the shop and developed a plan. I didn't have any thin construction cardboard, so I used a double layer of masking paper to make a new pair of wings. I used an old comb to brush her yarn hair, remove the mats, then gave her a bit of a haircut, to at least get all the strands the same length. I removed the eye that was under the other eye and put it where it should have been. I used an ice pick to make a hole in the bottom of her head so I could use a pipe cleaner for a "spine" to hold her head on. I glued the pipe cleaner to her body to keep her head on. I let her right arm stay missing. I didn't want her better than original, after all, she was made by a three-year-old kid. We put up two trees this year, so the little Christmas witch will go atop the all-blue one, sitting in the den.
