It looks like hurricane Ian will make landfall here. I hope it doesn't remain as strong as it appears now to be.

I wish you the best, Rex, and you suffer no damage. I have friends that have a winter place in Sanford Florida. I'm guessing they are chewing their nails off right about now.

My cousin owns the place my grandparents had in Florida. It is in Estero, somewhere in the Fort Myers area. It is a double-wide mobile on a concrete foundation. And, as I understand it, it is right on the bay. I'll sure keep a good thought for all those in the path of the storm that they are all safe.

It looks like we will get our share of this this weekend. Just in time for when i am to take my sister to eat.

Good thoughts for both you, Rex, and Elton's sisters. The weather guys on the weather station make it sound like Florida is going under on this one. The closest I have come to a Hurricane is straight-line winds a few years back. They got up to 150mph in some areas and there were lots of steal building losing their roofs or being knocked down completely. Tons of trees down and people without power for days. It was not a fun time.
