Yes it was 100% free. It was listed in a Craigslist driveway pickup ad with some other things there too. I copied the Craigslist picture and it was saved as Rich Text Document. I'd like to post a picture of it sitting by the driveway but so far my computer won't let me do that. I guess it's more like I don't know how to do it.

I can't believe someone would put that at the curb.

I just emailed you the Craigslist picture that I saved when I got it. Maybe you or somebody else can figure out how to post it here.

If it doesn't get posted then that's ok too. I just wanted everybody to see the picture if possible.

Thank you 19&41. This old dog just learned a new trick, now if only I can remember it.

This is the Craigslist roadside pickup that I was talking about in this thread. When I got there most of the stuff was gone except for the RT-909. I figured it would be gone and I couldn't believe that it was still there. I left a message and was actually able to get some reels, tapes and some other things from her but I had to pay for them. I didn't mind that at all.

I'm glad you got your post in, Danny. I was still scratching my head. Now, I guess I need to try and figure out what you did with Rex's suggestion. Wish me luck, as I will need it.

I brought up the picture that I wanted to change and then hit snip and sketch. Snip and sketch has different methods of how to do it but it wasn't hard to figure out and then I saved it to pictures as a PNG file. I don't think it had JPEG as an option. It took a few minutes to do it but it wasn't bad. I'm sure you'll be able to do it without any trouble.

Computers and I do not get along. When I try and do things on my own I usually need to call my Geek friend to fix what I screwed up. But, I am always willing to give something a try. :) I'm glad it worked for you.

Last week I printed out a Beetle Bailey cartoon strip that had appeared in the newspaper and handed it out in my office. It showed the general--an old, bald-headed guy with a mustache being helped with his computer by the young woman secretary. It was perfect: when I (old, bald, mustache) am baffled by the computer, one of the young women in my office always solves the problem. We all got a laugh out of the depiction.
