I didn't want to hijack the Patsy Cline topic
speaking to her Pilot radio/hifi set.
So I'm posting here this very nice 1962 Pilot line-up.
I ran across it on the Preservation Sound website, which I had
completely forgot about.
PS has archive editions up to Feb 2022, and there are some very
cool articles and opinion pieces there.
Enjoy.

And e.g. the Pilot 246 "Curtain of Sound" stereo amp, wow again !

I ran across that brochure a few years back as I was just looking around on the computer. When I tried to find it again I had no luck. Thanks Mr. Mogul for posting it, I enjoyed looking at it again.

Thanks for those! I've had several Pilot pieces over the years including some big rare AA-908 EL-34 monoblocks and a pr of Pilotone '50s mono preamps, an AA-232 stereo EL-84 amp (pic) that's almost identical to my Fisher 440a (except for the 5AR4 rectifier, the 440 has selenium), a SP 215 stereo preamp (pic -with lighted meters!) and several other integrated amps and receivers. Every one of them was really excellent, truly Fisher quality, and coming from the same area in NYC too.
Stew Hedgman, later designer of H-K's Citation line, started at Pilot. The one Pilot caveat being their extensive use of brass plated steel starting around 1960 that tended to get those corrosion spots. It's really hard to find a clean one now. I sold it all off a long time ago because people on eBay would pay crazy prices, and I was quite happy with the few Scott pieces I have left from my previous days of component fixation. I kinda wish I'd saved that sweet tube SP215 preamp though!
Clearly Patsy knew her Hi-Fi!

I want to continue this thread, but, I will post under "other consoles" since what I want to post is a console.

Good idea Bill. The SA-232 amp and SP 210, 215, and 216 were all found in consoles, as well as separate components. I got mine as components from a member/moderator on antiqueradios, com who lives near Albany about 15 yrs ago.
