Another entry to the ugly console contest?

OK, I'll defend it, aesthetically. In the right setting it would look just fine. Tasteful, even. Granted, it's not really what I would choose, but it's not like one of the Mediterranean exaggerations. I try to steer a path somewhere between Good Taste, which can often be borrrring, and Bad Taste, which is plain old awful.

There was a time when that white provincial was all the rage. I that were the lady's taste, this Maggie was probably the only choice in a factory made unit.

Magnavox always seemed to keep a balance between offering a piece of furniture that could play music and offering a instrument that was ergonomic, played music and looked good enough to be furniture. The former seems to have won out with this piece.

I have seen worst examples ... I think were manufactured for people that just wanted a sound system in their homes...the stereo separation on these must be about the same as a GE wildcat...

The lady in the Philco commercial looks just like my Aunt Maude from the back......
