Admiral stereo in pretty cabinet

That cabinet appears very pristine and clean.

The amp uses one 6BQ5 per channel and
8 inch woofers/ 3.5 inch tweeters.

I bet this will still sound very nice in all
that solid wood.

Isn't the changer one of those built into a box and sitting on one of those shelves? Probably a V-M of some description (1200 series, maybe?) could be used as a substitute. The cabinet looks like it was made of plywood. You don't normally see one that is that light in color. Really a unique look. Not worth $146 with a missing changer, though.

With our conversation in another thread, won't it have had an Admiral changer? Ken said Admiral made their own changers since the 1940's.

Probably the original was an Admiral changer. My thinking was that a more common V-M could be used as a substitute if the original Admiral changer couldn't be procured for some reason.

The cabinet looks like it was made of plywood. You don't normally see one that is that light in color.

The color is similar to my 1956 Provincial Serenade in cherry veneers. Cherry will darken but the lacquer finish kept the oxygen away so it has stayed light.
