Any suggestions for recorder belts? I just took apart a Sony kid's cassette machine, a TCM-4000, and the belts were sticky goo. And how about size info?

I have had fairly good luck Googling the model number of the recorder to see what information exists on the Internet, then I search on ebay by model number of the device for the belt. You can also make a "belt" out of string that will let you match up O-rings for a belt if worse comes to worse. Use your string pattern and find a square-cut O-ring which works well in many cases. Good luck.

I did the Google search thing. Problem is (a) Sony made several mechanisms under the same model no., and (b) I haven't been able to access a manual or other specs.
One video skipped from starting disassemby to reassembly--"There, we replaced the belts." Wish they had shown doing it and discussed the source.
