Recently acquired this console, but the backlit faceplate has a portion of the foil label under selector knob missing.

In the way of a suggestion for possible repair, you might find some of that "chrome", shiny aluminum HVAC tape used to seal ductwork. Fairly spendy if you buy a whole roll, but you might find an AC technician who would favor you with a small piece. It is smooth (if it's in good shape on the roll) and the back is extremely sticky. When you get the foil tape in place, if there are graphics, you can repop them on clear decal stock, then stick that to the aluminum tape. You can roll it flat with a small wallpaper roller.

Good suggestion, but the problem is, the lettering is actually cut into the foil so that the backlight illuminates them! I've never seen that done, it's a very precise cut for the letters. Here's a shredded piece that was in the record bucket. If I can't find a parted-out panel in a few months, which will probably be the case, I'll come up with another solution that doesn't do the backlighting, just for that lower portion of the panel.

If you have a steady hand, lots of patience and a really sharp X-acto knife, you could make a decal of those letters, put that on HVAC tape, then take the knife and cut the letters out so light can shine thru them. It would require a lot of patience......
