I have saw some Zenith consoles sell for good money in the past and I don't know it this is one of same but if it isn't it's very similar. It's not cheap at $300 but it still might be worth it especially when considering that it has a reel to reel. It looks like it does take up a lot of real estate.

You are correct, Danny, that is one of the Zenith's that bring big money. This guy, Steve Scarlet, buys and sells MCM consoles all the time and seems to get good/big money for them. Here are three links that show his work. I believe the first one is model XT960 which would be the one in your Facebook ad. The next two are Y960 and YT960. The "X" is 1967 and the "Y" is 1968 and the "T" means it has the tape deck. I am not sure if the guts changed between 1967 and 1968 but the face plate did on the controls. The other tell tale sign that it is a Zenith TOTL is the fact it has 4 swell shades or louvered doors on each side. The smaller models only have 3. At $300.00, it is a bargain and I am guessing at that price someone will snap it up in a hurry. I have one in a butt ugly Early American cabinet, it is in storage because it is too ugly for the house. I can tell you this, it sounds amazing, like a component system and will pound drywall with how much bass it has. The highs are crisp and clear too. Mine is model Z968M, the "Z" is 1969. The reel to reel was available in all of the TOTL Zenith models. Mine does not have the Reel to Reel.

Thank you for the links, Bill. The first video you linked to really sounds good and is recorded well. I went back to the console for sale, and I don't see any of the legs on it. If it's supposed to have legs and doesn't have them that would really cut into the value of it.

Danny, I am not sure every year had legs, the upper part of the cabinet was the same, MCM with the swell shades/louvers. I have seen that style both ways, with and without legs.

If the price us good enough, replicating the legs would be an easy project.
