A newly-restored '31 Olds (it took 43 years) and its 90-year-old owner. This is sitting in the Hagerty's display window right now.
Looks like it's almost the color of my Chevy. I haven't stopped by to see it in person yet. I'll add a link to the article in today's newspaper. IT may require a subscription so if you want to read and can't, there's a way I can share it--let me know.

I'm not much of a pre-1950 Olds historian, despite living in Lansing for 20 years. They will have specs posted at Hagerty's. I intend to stop by to check it out one of these days.

Re: From our newspaper
Viking and Oldsmobile had a V8 in that time frame that had horizontal valves, rather advanced for the time. I watched a video about it. I'll see if I can find it.

Re: From our newspaper
Oldsmobile used a flathead V8 in the early 1920s. I believe this car would have a flathead inline six.

Re: From our newspaper
This is the engine I mentioned. Apparently, it was used in Viking and Oakland, rather than Viking and Oldsmobile. So the Olds in this topic would have had a six-cylinder engine. I apologize if I added confusion to the topic...
