Bill Mitchell came to Buick in 1959 or 1960 and designed the beautiful and hot selling 1962 Buicks. I need to Google who designed the 1961 Chevys.

I like this guy's videos. He is a tad long-winded at times, but you can't argue with his knowledge. They give Bill Mitchell general credit for styling, with a man named Jenkins credited with designing the interior. I like the two-toned steering wheel. That black car has power windows and four-on-the-floor. Power windows would have been a fairly exotic option on a Chevrolet. Mr. Jenkins could have well spent some time "vacationing" at Buick......

Buick started offering bucket seats and Positraction in 1959. I have never seen a '59 or '60 Buick with Positraction. One would think it was more common on Chevy.

It's convertible weather in MI still. Travel, unsuitable weather, etc. have limited my driving time this summer, and storage season is approaching, so I made an effort to do some top-down today. The Chevy got lots of horn toots and waves today. Of course, this is in a city where half the population worked at "the Chevrolet" when I was a kid, or at the foundry over in Saginaw where the engine block was cast. Lets see if I can manage to add a photo.
