Classic Hifi Care

This one was a dandy. I believe this may have been the biggest dust storm I ever saw. We literally couldn't see across the road. The weatherbabes say we got a 67 mph gust of wind here. We got dust, then it rained mud, then it rained water. Came down really hard for about 20 minutes or so. The local TV stations suspended normal programming to blab drop by drop on the rain. Drivers apparently behaved themselves, since they had no reports of serious traffic incidents. I'm glad we weren't out in it. I was listening to the radio when they said the dust was coming from the southwest. The weatherbabes said the dust was up to 10,000 feet. Local airports suspended landings and takeoffs during the storm. I see it's trying to rain again. They say we got .67 inches during our storm. Less than 3/4", but that is a lot of rain in the desert.....

Your dust storms must be like our blizzards, little to know visibility, hard to drive in, and just not fun. Hopefully you will get a little more rain to clean things up.

I live about 50 miles West of Electra, and I was running a rented excavator on our property.

That storm blew in hard, took my sunglasses right off my face.

At least I was already wearing a mask for the dust I was stirring up, when the big cloud of airborne crap arrived. Lots of litter came with it, too.

Having to finish the job before time to return the machine the next morning kept me in the thick of it.

Within minutes, I went from hot & sweaty to cold & totally soaked.
