Silver mica disease

Post: # 26738Post TC Chris »

Greg had posted about silver mica disease a while back but I cannot remember the category, so I'll post this here. The latest Michigan Vintage Electronics Chronicle has a nice short article about doing a repair in a late 40s RCA. I can scan and email the piece eventually (right now I'm trying to arrange a trip to VT to pick up the new truck, which may arrive tomorrow.

I'd like some pictures of your new truck!

As to the topic I did on SMD, is this the one you are thinking of? I hate working with SMD. Right up there with restringing a dial...... ;)
