I like the fancy emblems Webcor used on their stereos.......

I see one woofer. It's hard to tell from the photo but looks like 2 OPTs and two sets of output tubes. Is the "3rd channel" summed from the other two?

No clue, Chris. I thought is was an interesting design and wanted to share the ad. PP something or other, large PT, and it looks like a 10" woofer and left and right midrange and tweeter. Not sure what the aux speaker is for or if it covers both channels.

I was on my phone when I made my first comment. The PT on this thing is big enough to weld with, but it only pulls 165 watts. Probably a three-channel setup of some kind. I'll bet it has a Power Point cartridge.

Maybe P-P 6AQ5's or 6BQ5's ?

Could the extra speaker be another woofer?

I see five speaker openings in the front but only three speakers in the back. Are the other two speakers covered up by a divider or is the extension speaker made from the speakers that were in it. The extension speakers are about the same size but it doesn't match the cabinet color. Bill, is this across the lake from you?

Interest thought, Danny, you could be right someone may have built that extra speaker box, pulled the midrange and tweeter out of the main console and installed them in the aux. speaker box for better separation. Looking closer at the photo of the backside of the unit I see writing in the box area but I can't make out what it says. And yes it is across the lake from me, it is in a suburb of Chicago.

I tried magnifying the writing but it's too blurry for me to read. The cubby-hole may have been for album storage and the panel with the writing on it may have been to separate the electronics from the albums. I can't tell how far that panel is from the front, but it still could have some speakers behind it. I guess we'll never know unless you go and buy it.

Just a guess - I think it is three channel like Chris said, bass is summed from R+L channels. Philco designed their few 3-channel consoles similarly.

Wish these would show up locally, Webcor was a real good one.

That power transformer and 185 watts on the UL label mean it's got some power!
