What does this magnavox selector switch control go to?
I assume that a motor on the end. As it set only turns manually one direction
It's also a push switch
There is an resistor assembly that goes all around it. It's the black band
Thanks
Doug

A guess might be that switch is used as a volume control in a Stereo Theater with remote control.......

Then there are the wafer switch sections. Didn't the Maggies sometimes used a stepped tone control for bass or treble, instead of continuously variable? Not sure what the additional section with resistors would be--maybe different loudness compensation for each tone step?

That makes sense, but I don't know of a Magnavox system that used remote control for the tone controls. The reason I mentioned a Stereo Theater is that my ST has a very similar switch, although I suspect the one pictured is newer then my Stereo Theater. I don't know if any of the Astro-Sonic stereos had remote control that worked with volume to tone controls....

Could it be a motorized function switch from a Astro-Sonic Stereo Theater. Those would be more sophisticated remotes.
