I saw that and thought Marvin. I hadn't ever heard of one of those before. I looked closer at the picture and saw Arvin. That makes a lot more sense. Looks like it could be either tubes or no tubes. Anyway, it doesn't look bad and $40 isn't a bad price.

That is the first Marvin stereo I have seen! ;) :D

I'm guessing it's tube. It has FM AFC, so it might be later than mid-1961. It also has built-in stereo decoder, something Magnavox never had in tube stereos. Other than the fake wood trim lifting on the knobs, it looks to be in really nice condition. And it might have 12" speakers. I won't guess on the changer, since I'm usually wrong, but it LOOKS really VM-ish to me. I hope somebody saves it.... :D :D

That is nice looking, kind of Early Americanish. I would guess tube and the changer looks like a Garrard. I guess one can't really go wrong for 40 bucks.

It's from 1966 per Sams.

9 tube radio circuit, with 11 transistor amplifier.

One 10 inch and two 3 inch speakers/channel.

Garrard AT-6 changer.

The Garrard alone is worth $40.

I figured it was somewhere in the tube/SS transition time period because even though it has a tube stereo look to it, I didn't see any Conelrad markings.

It would be interesting to hear what it sounds like being a hybrid.
