Classic Hifi Care

A few weeks ago, I came across this excellently performed
and produced Oscar Peterson album.

Today it is so joyful to listen to it, since we are past the
craziness of consumption holidays.

We finally have some real Winter weather here, and
I'm going to brew hot tea repeatedly today !!

January 6th has a long and interesting history of its
observations for the Western and Eastern dogmas.

I feel more of a spirit of the season today.

I found the Ramsey Lewis Christmas albums from the early 60s and they are my new favorites.

Great jazz knows no holiday, it IS a holiday!

I have always enjoyed Oscar Peterson and when he pairs with a drummer, bass player, and guitar it is even better. Add Ella and it is pure magic.

What part of the country are you in? I live in the snow belt of lower Michigan and most of the really bad stuff has passed south of us. Today it was quite cold again, plus I had to wear a tie to work so I could look good on Zoom, so I honored my rule that it's OK to drive to work when the temp is under 20 deg. F. It's a three mile trip and below 20 it's a bit chilly on the bicycle.

I have never listened to much Oscar Peterson. An elderly family friend left me his R to R prerecorded tapes, including an Oscar Peterson tape. I need to revive a R to R machine.

Right now, the radio is giving me a NY Phil. broadcast with Thomas Hampson singing Cole Porter's "Night and Day." Wow. That's songwriting. Forty years ago I would have said that.
