My first cup of coffee for almost a month
I had forgotten how much I love a cup of Joe in the morning. The doctor said I can resume a liquid diet pending another MRI on my throat. I'll likely be back to work in a couple weeks. You tend to forget the little blessings in life when going thru a health crisis.

So true... hope you can continue to enjoy the good things Greg.
I don't function well without that morning Java...make mine hot and black, thanks!
(that last part segues into a joke, as you can imagine, but what with it being family friendly here and all...LOL).

Henry Ford always said you can get a Model T in any color you want, as long as your choice is black. I don't understand why people dump all that flavored creamer in their coffee. I want mine strong and black, with a half-teaspoon of Splenda. I got used to truck driver coffee. Norma's Lunch made the best coffee in three counties back when I was hauling grain. It was a little greasy spoon, run by a widow lady, who had a huge parking lot with a tiny little resturant. You could get a plate lunch with Swiss steak, mashed potatoes and gravy with baked beans or mac and cheese, including coffee, for 95 cents in the last 1970's. Grandpa used to make cowboy coffee. He'd put coffee, a pinch of salt in the bottom of a blue porcelein coffee pot, pump it full of cold well water, then set it on grandma's wood cook stove. That stuff was legendary.

That is good new Greg, solid food is only a short time away. You all can keep your coffee, I never cared for the stuff. I pretty much drink water and milk, and in the winter an occasional hot chocolate.

The story goes that we didn't have money for orange juice when I was a kid. Grandma put coffee in my baby bottle to keep me quiet. Grandma put goats' milk and secret ingredients (maybe moonshine?) in my bottle. I'm lucky to have survived.

That would be an interesting formula, Greg. What ever it was, I guess it worked. You are still with us.

Greg, Sit back and enjoy your coffee. Think about making your shop the best shop you or anyone for miles around ever had. I have gone through periods of not into coffee and having to have it. I would rather do without it if i am used to not having it , i don't miss it. But it has to be gone completely. Currently drinking it everyday. Except the days when i get in the racecar. I found out that even a little caffeine on those days will send me into complete anxiety!

Thanks, Hydro. My disposition is much better when I've had my coffee in the morning.
