Longtime tube radio/stereo/amp fan in Friendswood, TX. Member of Antique Radio Forum and Audiokarma for many years.
My most often used equipment include a Fisher 500B that my Dad bought new in 1965, and a customized RCA RS-177 that I converted into a stand-alone
amp.The RCA plays through 2 JBL Lancer 77s that Dad bought to go with the Fisher 500B.
Waiting to find a deal on some used Klipsch Cornwalls to go with the Fisher.
I restored and sold antique radios at a local antique mall for several years until it turned into a second job.
Met a lot of nice folks there and learned a lot in the process.

Glad to have you join us!
That Fisher 500 and the Lancer 77s are real classics.
I've had several Fisher 400 & 500, and a lot of Klipsches and Altecs, including K-horns and those Cornwalls.
If you like that sound, don't discount more modern Klipsch speaker designs they've come a long way since
the 50s and 60s and newer KSB Tractrix horn loaded models have the same efficiency and sound but more
refined and waaay cheaper than some of the vintage ones, I love my Klipsch KSB 3.1s and I wouldn't trade
them for the vintage Klipsch models. Proof of the pudding is in the listening. YMMV.
Enjoy the site!
