The RCA XFL 20 dates to 1965 and is transistor.
I figured it was still early 1960's, since it has an RP-218 changer.
There is a nice speaker complement in each satellite
speaker.
Ambassador sold lots of products, though they may not have
made their own electronics.
I had a very well built Ambassador large tabletop "portable" stereo.

This 1963 Cascade/Ultratone/Ambassador model series
may be what you ask about, Bill.
It has a G-S changer listed in the Sams as coming with
the console series.
And you can see the G-S in the
supplied Sams photo.
